Carbon control at source focuses on reducing carbon dioxide emissions
XLX Group is a large coal chemical production enterprise. "Over the years, we have always adhered to the development strategy of 'fertilizer based and fertilizer simultaneously', continuously optimized and upgraded the production process, improved the level of coal consumption raw materials, adjusted the energy consumption structure, and worked hard to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the source of production." Zhang Qingjin said.
According to reports, XLX in the production source, vigorously implement the coal gasification process upgrade, to the production process to reduce carbon. Over the years, the group has gradually phased out the fixed bed intermittent gasification technology and adopted all the advanced production technology of coal water slurry gasification to achieve continuous gas production, and the conversion efficiency of raw coal has increased from 84% to more than 99%, saving 84,000 tons of standard coal per year compared with the average comprehensive energy consumption level of the industry, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 218,000 tons per year. It plays a good demonstration role in the high-quality development of the industry.
At the same time, XLX implements green hydrogen coupling according to the actual production, and reduces the carbon content of carbon-containing chemical products. They explored the coupling of green hydrogen production from green electrolysis water and synthetic ammonia production line to produce green ammonia, and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by about 10,000 tons per year while maintaining the same scale of synthetic ammonia production. Implementation of chain extension, chain reinforcement and chain strengthening actions, the establishment of an annual output of 120,000 tons of melamine, 300,000 tons of organic amines, 800,000 tons of dimethyl ether and other high value-added fine chemical key projects, to achieve an annual increase in carbon sequeering of about 2.5 million tons.
On this basis, XLX accelerates the adjustment of energy consumption structure and reduces carbon to green energy. They use rooftop resources to build photovoltaic power generation facilities, plan to invest 130 million yuan to build 34MWp "green power plant", of which the first phase of the 9MWp distributed photovoltaic power generation project has been fully connected to the grid, annual power generation of about 10 million degrees, can save about 3,000 tons of standard coal, carbon dioxide emissions of about 7800 tons.
Process carbon reduction steadily improves energy efficiency
In the process of carbon reduction, XLX gives full play to the advantages of the Group's national technology research center, academician workstation, postdoctoral research workstation and other technology research and development platforms, strengthens the application of energy-saving and low-carbon technologies, implements energy-saving and carbon reduction transformation, steadily improves energy utilization efficiency and reduces carbon dioxide emissions.
"Focusing on radiation to drive the overall energy saving and carbon reduction of the park is our primary measure." Zhang Qingjin said that the group implemented the provincial and municipal work deployment, overall planning of the steam needs of enterprises in the chemical park where the company is located, and built two high-pressure pulverized coal boilers of 220 tons/hour to replace the original small-capacity and low-efficiency circulating fluidized bed boilers, extending the boiler operation cycle by more than 2 times, and increasing the overall efficiency by about 3%. It can achieve annual coal saving of 15,000 tons and carbon dioxide emission reduction of 44,000 tons, which not only provides a reliable and stable source of steam for enterprises in the park, but also effectively reduces the cost of steam. Lead the implementation of the waste heat and pressure recovery and utilization project of the park, make full use of the waste heat resources of the exhaust gas of the production facilities in the park, and establish a new material and heat balance of the park, among which only the low-pressure exhaust gas of the synthetic ammonia production system is sent to the compound fertilizer alternative fuel, which can recover and utilize about 6,000 tons of fuel gas and standard coal, and the energy saving efficiency can reach more than 20 million yuan.
The active use of advanced and applicable energy saving and carbon reduction technology is another measure to do a good job in the process of carbon reduction. It is understood that the group has implemented the transformation of the controllable heat transfer furnace project, using the "phase transition heat transfer isothermal transformation" technology to implement energy saving transformation of the pressurized gasification transformation process of coal water slurry, effectively reducing the system resistance, improving the overall capacity of the conversion device, while the by-product of 2.5MPa steam, saving 14,000 tons of standard coal per year. Implementation of organic Rankine cycle power generation, axial flow pump power generation and other technical transformation projects, recycling urea high temperature regulation water, low temperature methanol washing heat regeneration tower top methanol mixed steam and circulating water return water and other systems of low grade residual heat and pressure, to achieve power saving of more than 10 million degrees/year, saving energy costs of nearly 7 million yuan/year.
Terminal carbon sequestration effectively captures and utilizes carbon dioxide
"Not only from the end of the production of enterprises to effectively capture and use carbon dioxide, but also from the end product effect to improve, try to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions caused by product use." XLX Group production management center director Tian Xiangjie said.
According to reports, Xinlianxin Group for fertilizer production process of carbon dioxide recycling, organized the implementation of carbon capture recycling projects. The carbon dioxide emitted from synthetic ammonia production system was separated and purified by the two-tower distillation process of "heat pump distillation" and "Leaning Tower distillation" to produce industrial grade, food grade and electronic grade carbon dioxide. Since the completion of the project in 2016, a total of 2 million tons of carbon dioxide has been captured and recycled, creating economic benefits of more than 400 million yuan.
It is worth mentioning that XLX Group continues to develop efficient fertilizer products according to market conditions. Through years of research and testing, the use of urease inhibitor technology to develop the "super control Shi" brand of efficient fertilizer products, in the case of reducing the fertilizer amount by 20%, can increase crop production by about 10%, and can inhibit ammonia volatilization by more than 50%, effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Over the years of efforts, XLX Group has achieved good results in energy saving, carbon reduction, transformation and upgrading. In 2023, the energy consumption per unit product of synthetic ammonia will reach 1175 kg of standard coal/ton, which has become the "leader" benchmark enterprise in the energy efficiency of the national synthetic ammonia industry for 13 consecutive years, and the energy consumption per unit product of methanol will reach 1269 kg of standard coal/ton.
